FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: fan is installed on vertical shaft with the drive located in the machine hall under the fan cooling tower and consisting of the reducer, the hydraulic coupling, oil refrigerators and filters, the electric motor regulating the speed of rotation of a the fan shaft taking into account the temperature of chilled water and at regulation of fan shaft rotation speed in addition the temperature and pressure of lubricant oil in the reducer and the hydraulic coupling are considered, the level of vibration of the fan shaft and temperature of its guiding bearings, temperature of support bearings of the electric motor shaft, pressure and flow rate of cold water in the oil chillers, oil pressure differences in oil filters, force of the electric current passing through the electric motor winding, water level in the machine hall of the cooling tower, and the measured values of parameters are compared to the pre-set preventive and pre-emergency values and by results of comparison the pre-set rpm of the fan shaft is corrected on the regulator.

EFFECT: invention allows to improve the efficiency of cooling of return water due to improvement of reliability of operation of the cooler and decrease of accident rate of the process.
