FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to pipe-lay ships. Proposed pipe-lay ship comprises set of workstations arranged along pipeline path and equipped with top section remote from ship first edge and set of racks arranged in said ship first edge. Said racks comprise first racks located on pipeline path to allow varying of their inclination and second lower edge. Second racks located on pipeline path to allow varying of their inclination and having first top edge and second lower edge. Lower edge of first racks is located aboard the ship in the area of shit first edge and above ship bottom. Top edge of second racks is located aboard the ship in the area of shit first edge and above ship bottom. Besides, invention covers the method of pipeline laying.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, enhanced performances.
