SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to laying of pipelines from the ship. Proposed method comprises directing the pipeline along the pipe laying path and arranging the working sites along said path. Besides, it comprises first working mode with minor curvature of pipe laying path along the ship with pipe exit from under the ship at relatively small angle and with location of lower working site of said set of working sites in the area of said exit. Second working mode features larger curvature of pipe lying along the ship with pipe exit from the ship at relatively large angle around the zone of lower working site location. Inclination of pipe guide racks can be varied as well as working site platform can be adjusted and displaced relative to said pipe racks. Invention discloses also the ship for laying pipelines as described above.
