SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to pipelaying vessels. Proposed is a system of external walkways for laying a pipeline from a vessel, including the first walkways and the second walkways located below the first walkways, designed to adjust its position relative to the first walkways, a drive for adjusting the position of the second walkways with respect to the first walkways, connecting the first walkways with the second walkways, and a locking device for fixing walkways relative to each other in a certain position. Also, a pipelaying vessel with a system of external walkways and a method for laying a pipeline from the vessel are proposed.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the efficiency and reliability of pipe-laying operations for a wide range of pipe sizes, both at shallow and at great depths.
