SUBSTANCE: device for determining an indicator of a perceptible reverberation level in a composite signal, consisting of a forward signal component and a reverberation signal component, comprises a volume model processor, which comprises a perceptional filter stage for filtering the "dry" signal component, the reverberation signal component or the composite signal, wherein the perceptional filter stage is configured to simulate the audio perception mechanism of the object to obtain a filtered forward signal, a filtered reverberation signal or a filtered composite signal, a volume estimating unit for estimating a first volume indicator using the filtered forward signal and for estimating a second volume indicator using the filtered reverberation signal or the filtered composite signal, where the filtered composite signal is obtained by superposition of the forward signal component and the reverberation signal component, an integration unit for integrating the first and second volume indicators.
EFFECT: improved characteristics of perceptible sound.
