SUBSTANCE: part is subject to ultrasonic action in a liquid medium tank with an acoustic radiation source placed in it and having the acoustic vibration frequency f"RTS" of 20-30 kHz during τ=30-45 minutes with the vibrational displacement amplitude ξ=7-40 mcm. At processing of parts from steel 40X the vibrational displacement amplitude is chosen within ξ=15-40 mcm.
EFFECT: increasing the surface hardness of parts without any deterioration of the surface quality.
