FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of polymer coatings on metal surfaces and may be used in medicine for coating implant surfaces. Proposed method comprises pre-machining part surface to produce periodic micro texture with roughness Rz=80-100 mcm, placing Teflon powder with particle fineness of 0.2-5 mcm and applying ultrasound mechanical oscillations to machined surface. Note here that powder is applied on part surface by dipping the part in said powder while acoustic tool is used to act through power layer by ultrasound mechanical oscillations.
EFFECT: improved tribotecnnical characteristics, higher wear resistance.
