FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to industrial heat power engineering and may be used, in particular, to manufacture regenerative heat exchangers from wire for machines operating under Stirling cycle. The method includes deformation of wire material to produce bends arranged with pitch h, and pressing of the deformed wire material in a die mould until specified density. Deformed wire material is cut into sections with length of at least 3h and not more than the transverse size of the die mould, and their mixing for even distribution in the die mould. Device design for manufacturing of a regenerative heat exchanger is given according to techniques of the stated method.
EFFECT: making it possible to adjust hydraulic diameter of inner pore structure and increased inner strength of a product when making porous structures of various geometric shape from wire of different diameter.
