FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: on an electric wire and a product from conducting material a dielectric mould is placed. The mould is filled-up with conducting powder. The punch is contacted with the named powder and through it the electric current impulse 60-90 kA is passed for 100-200 mcs from the generator connected to the punch and to the named conducting product. The product can be a pipe with the diameter above 50 mm or a flat detail. The single-core or multicore electric wire with a cross-section 0.5÷180 mm2 can be used. The magnitude of electric current impulse is selected from the condition of heating of the conducting powder up to the temperature amounting 0.8÷0.9 from its melting temperature. The device for implementation of the method contains the dielectric mould, the punch installed in it and the pulse current generator connected to the punch and to the conducting product.
EFFECT: acceleration of the process of connection and improvement of quality of welded connection.
