FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Method of making articles from electroconductive non-thermally stable powder materials includes filling of non-thermally stable powder into ceramic matrix between puncheons with arrangement of additional material in the form of copper powder between punches and sealed powder, straps with high electrical resistance and foils from high-melting material and electric pulse pressing by application of static pressure and current pulse transmission through sealed powder. Powder is filled in a ceramic matrix between puncheons with arrangement of additional material between puncheons and sealed powder in stages. First, a lower male die is inserted into the female die, copper powder is poured therein, pressed by the upper male die, inserted into the female die a pad with high electrical resistance and a foil of refractory material, non-resistant powder is filled, it is pressed by the upper male die, a foil of refractory material and an overlay with high electric resistance are inserted into the matrix, copper powder is filled and pressed by the upper male die. Said press-fitting of copper powder and said pre-pressing of non-thermally stable powder is carried out at pressure of 0.3÷0.7 P, where P - static pressure during electric pulse pressing.

EFFECT: production of articles with density of more than 87–93 % from theoretical without their cracking and welding to puncheons.
