SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to gas cleaning by electric precipitation from suspended particles in different industrial sectors, in particular in heat power industry, chemical industry, metallurgy, etc. The electric precipitator consists of a body, gas distributing plates, precipitating and corona-producing electrodes and mechanisms for electrodes shaking. The gas distributing plate at the precipitator output is double, at that one its part is movable and divided along its width into movable pieces, and moreover motion of the plate movable pieces is synchronised with shaking of the precipitating electrode placed opposite two movable parts of the gas distributing plate.

EFFECT: improving degree of gas cleaning by electric precipitation due to reduced values of repeated dust loss at shaking of the precipitating electrodes.
