METHOD FOR PLASTIC REPAIR OF SKIN DEFECTS WITH FLAPS FROM REMOVED SEGMENT IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing donor's flap by expander extension of epidermis, mobilising it with having a pedicle preserved and moving it to close a wound defect. The flap is formed within the segment remote from the skin defect to be replaced, to ensure the latter approaching the flap, preserving a pedicle base on the side opposite a movable edge of the flap. That is moved further to bring the donor's and recipient's segments adjoin. The flap is moved to replace the recipient's and donor's beds defects at the same time. Free edges of the flaps are sutured with the edges of the defect to be replaced to fix body segments comprising the flap and skin defect together. The adjoining position of the above segments are fixed externally for the period of 21 days; after the moved flap shows to be vascularising, it is dissected away from the donor's pedicle bed. The fixed body segments are separated by dissecting the postoperative scar within the fixation; that is followed by the plastic repair of the formed wound defects with local tissues.

EFFECT: method enables replacing the skin defects, thereby avoiding local tissue deficiency when repairing the donor's area.
