FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma lighting engineering. An electrodeless plasma lamp includes a bulb configured so that is can be connected to a radio-frequency power source, filling that forms plasma when RF power is introduced into the filling. An electrically conducting convex screen is located near the bulb, with a convex surface of the screen, which is distant from the bulb as much as possible. A resonant structure that has a quarter-wave resonant mode includes a lamp housing containing a dielectric material having relative dielectric permeability that is higher than 2, which is located between an internal conductor and an external conductor. The RF power source is configured to supply RF power to the lamp housing approximately on resonant frequency of the resonant structure.
EFFECT: reducing electromagnetic interference from a lamp and increasing passage of emission in a visible region of a spectrum.
