FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: light source is fed by means of magnetron (1) and has quartz crucible (2) having plasma cavity (8) with an excited filler, out of which light is emitted when it is being used. Two aluminium fastening units (3, 4) are attached together, and unit (3) is attached to casing (5) of magnetron (1). The quartz crucible is attached to unit (4) by means of faraday cage (6) in the form of a perforated metal envelope attached at its rim (7) to unit (4). Outlet formation (11) of the magnetron has conducting copper cap (12) installed with an electric contact to it. The cap is continued with copper rod (14). The rod is continued through units (3, 4) in channel (15) in crucible (2) for connection of microwaves from the magnetron to the crucible. Air space (16) is provided around cap (12) in unit (3). From the cap, the rod is spread with an insufficient air gap in tube (17) from corundum ceramics through the air space and projection (18) of unit (4), which is located in a hole made in the end wall of unit 3.
EFFECT: stabilisation of input impedance of a waveguide between start-up and a steady-state operating mode.
