FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light sources. Electrodeless microwave lamp (1) has magnetron (2) as source of microwave radiation and transparent crucible (5) with excited material wherein plasma is generated. In order to transmit microwave radiation from magnetron to the crucible there is a matching circuit of air waveguide (4) with output of magnetron serving as input at distance of one quarter lambda from one end and output at distance of one quarter lambda from the other end serving as input for connection with crucible.
EFFECT: improved properties of the light source.
