FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of organic chemistry, namely to a method of obtaining bis-(3-methoxybenzamidyl)-tetrathiazacycloalkanes of formula (1), where n=1 or 2, characterised by the fact that meta-methoxybenzhydraside is subjected to interaction with α,ω-dithiol [HS(CH2)3(CH2)nSH, where n=1, 2], preliminarily mixed at 20°C with a water solution of formaldehyde, in the presence of a catalyst of samarium chloride crystallohydrate SmCl3·6H2O with the molar ratio of hydrazide : α,ω-alkanedithiol : formaldehyde : SmCl3·6H2O=10:10:20:(0.3-0.7), preferably 10:10:20:0.5 at 75-85°C and atmospheric pressure for 20-26 h.
EFFECT: elaborated is the method of obtaining bis-(3-methoxybenzamidyl)-tetrathiazacycloalkanes, which can be applied as biologically active compounds, selective sorbents and extractants of noble and precious metals.
