FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry, namely, to method of obtaining bis-(3-mercaptophenyl)tetrathiadiazacycloalkanes of formula 1 . Essence of method consists in interaction of m-aminothiophenol with formaldehyde and α,ω-alkanedithiol of general formula HSCH2(CH2)nSH (where n=1, 2, 3) in presence of catalyst Sm(NO3)3·6H2O with molar ratio m-aminothiophenol:formaldehyde:α,ω-alkanedithiol:Sm(NO3)3·6H2O = 1:2:1:(0.03-0.07) at room temperature (~20°C) and atmospheric pressure in ethanol medium for 2.5-3.5 h.
EFFECT: obtaining compounds which can be applied as sorbents and extractants of precious metals, and selective complexants.
