FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. The method to monitor and control the hydrocarbon fuel combustion process in furnaces of boilers and industrial ovens, when they experimentally determine stoichiometric ratio of fuel and oxidant for this type of fuel in this furnace; determine absolute values of electric potentials in three zones of torch flame: preparation zone, burning zone and afterburning zone at stoichiometric ratio of fuel and oxidant, which are taken as reference; continuously measure absolute values of electric potentials in three zones of torch flame and compare them to the reference ones, besides, following the results of comparison, they continuously regulate oxidant supply in accordance with the received indices.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to ensure complete combustion of hydrocarbon fuel in furnaces.
