FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: burner for thermal units of field installations comprises a fuel sprayer - a nozzle with an electrode, a low-power high electric voltage source and a dielectric tube. The electrode with the dielectric tube is made in the form of a hitch attachment fixed at the burner through insulator with high voltage electrode of L-shaped type. Dimensions and distance of the high voltage electrode tip from the grounded burner may vary depending on its structure and capacity. Bare end of the high-voltage electrode is located in the zone of burner flameignition initiation at a distance less than the rest part of the electrode, so that silent discharge would occur only at the tip area.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of combustion processes.
