SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Method for optimization of drop-flare combustion of water-coal fuel in vortex flow includes determination of reference characteristics of combustion process for this type of fuel in this furnace, periodic measurement of readings of sensors in control fixed points in furnace chamber, transfer of readings of sensors to computer equipped with corresponding software, comparison of measurement results with values of reference characteristics of combustion process, continuous control by means of ACS for supply of fuel and oxidant in accordance with obtained readings. Method includes determining reference characteristics of the process of burning coal-water fuel, calculating values of reference characteristics of the combustion process of water-coal fuel is carried out using software which implements a physical and mathematical model of ignition and burning of coal-water fuel in a given furnace, calculation of values of reference characteristics of the process of coal-water fuel combustion is performed for 2, 3 or more values of fuel consumption from the range of its change, calculated values of reference characteristics of the process of burning coal-water fuel are stored on the computer hard disk in the base of reference characteristics of the process of burning coal-water fuel, measurements are carried out by gas temperature sensors at one or more control fixed points inside the furnace chamber and one control fixed point at the furnace chamber outlet.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of specific amount of used fuel and oxidizer per unit of obtained heat, reduction of power inputs for supply and heating of oxidiser excessively supplied into furnace, as a result of which ecological and economic indices of power plants are improved.
