MULTIPURPOSE VASCULAR IMPLANT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61F2/01

Abstract RU 2551938 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: in a vascular implant, a frame 1 is formed by an assembly of non-crossing side pieces 2 made of a biodegradable material, ends of one side of which are connected together in the same point, and at least by two crosspieces 4 made of the biodegradable material. The crosspieces 4 are made flexible and configured to provide a contact of at least a central portion of each of the side pieces 2 and an inner surface of the vascular cavity adequate enough to self-centre the implant frame 1 along the vessel from when it is placed into the vascular cavity to when it is absorbed completely. Ends of the other side of the side pieces 2 are also connected together in the same point, symmetric with respect to the opposite ends. The side pieces 2 are made flexible. A ratio of the maximum distance of the two external points of the frame lying on the same straight line perpendicular to a central long axis 5 of the implant to the free implant length makes from 2:3 to 4:5.

EFFECT: invention enables providing the more reliable implant fixation in the vessel in a combination with improving the safety and expansion of application.
