FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dairy farming, in particular to methods of forming the breeding herd of Holstein cows under conditions of monsoon climate. Every year in the breeding herd the cows born in the summer are inseminated in time which does not enable to carry out their calving during the summer months, and cows-top producers are inseminated in time which does not enable to carry out their calving in autumn, at that the first calving of the heifers received from them is also carried out also in autumn.
EFFECT: method enables to avoid the negative impact of summer monsoons on viability and lifetime productivity of Holstein cows and to form a breeding herd in farms with different levels of productivity.
