SUBSTANCE: described is an ultrasonic transducer (110) for use in a fluid medium (116). The ultrasonic transducer (110) includes at least one core (118) having at least one acoustoelectric transducer element (112), particularly a piezoelectric transducer element (112). The ultrasonic transducer (110) also has at least one housing (120) having at least one opening (122), at least partially insulated from the fluid medium (116) by an insulating film (130) connected to the core (118). The insulating film (130) has at least one compensation deformed portion (134) for compensating for stretching thereof and enabling relative movement of the core (118) and the housing (120) of the ultrasonic transducer.
