FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenic electronics, it describes a Josephson 0-π switch and it can be used in instrumentation, radio engineering and information systems operating at low temperatures in superconductor electronics devices. The device is designed using planar technology and consists of two superconducting electrodes and a weak bond area comprising a magnetic layer with direct or resonant conductivity, an insulator layer and superconducting layer between them, and also two auxiliary superconducting inputs for current setting through a magnetic layer.
EFFECT: change of the value of critical current of Josephson heterostructure under the influence of a small current signal in comparison with the previous geometries, and also possibility of switching between the states with different signs of critical current, possibility to provide high enough characteristic frequency of Josephson heterostructure and, as a result, high enough speed of memory element on its basis.
