FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: area of use: field of metal working, in particular, a cutting tool, namely, replaceable disposable cutting plates. Substance of the invention: replaceable cutting plate with a mounting hole and a convex curvilinear front surface, circumscribed with a parabola, differing by the fact that the front surface of the plate along the perimeter along the cutting edges is equipped with a groove for discharge of chips with a bottom part made along the radius r, coupled at one side by radius R with the cutting edge, and on the other side - with convex curvilinear front surface, mathematically described by the formula y=√x and inscribed into dimensions of the plate between the groove and the plane near the mounting hole, at the same time the axis x of the parabola is located at the angle 0<α≤15° to the appropriate axis of the cutting plate. Height of cutting edges matches thickness of the plate, radius of the groove r is less than the coupling radius R of the cutting edge, at the same time the plate in plan may have round or polygonal shape. Borders of crossing of parabolic convex curvilinear surfaces y=√x in polygonal cutting plates are stiffening ribs. The plate may be made as double-sided.

EFFECT: increased resistance of a cutting plate, increased manufacturability, and also bringing design into compliance with ISO requirements.
