FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes the metal stock movement on the conveyor towards the work space of the furnace inside the lined gas duct, and organization of movement of the furnace gases generated in the steel-making furnace via the lined gas duct towards the metal stock. In the flow of furnace gases the compressed air is blown via the injector nozzles build in walls of the lined gas duct, the jet is directed at angle 40-65° to surface of the metal stock towards it movement. The output cross-sections of the nozzles are located at distance of 30-50 nozzle gauges from surface of the metal stock.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of heat transfer from removed furnace gases to the metal stock.
