FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: in order to produce mesoporous titanium dioxide which is doped with fluorine in atomic ratio to titanium of 0.35 to 0.7, containing only an anatase phase, hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxide is carried out in the presence of ammonium fluoride. The ammonium fluoride is added to Ti(OCH(CH3)2)4 in droplets while stirring. Further, the mixture is held at room temperature in a closed vessel for 24 hours. The obtained material is dried on air at 100°C for not less than 8 hours and heat treated at 400-800°C for not less than 1 hour.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain 100% anatase, a mesoporous structure with pore distribution according to size of 8 nm to 130 nm, with particle size of 10 nm to 50 nm, which is resistant to temperatures of up to 800 degrees.
