FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: crystalline titanium dioxide with an anatase structural modification is obtained by preparing an initial titanium tetrachloride solution and performing hydrolysis with ammonium hydroxide solution. The obtained precipitate is dried and calcined. The initial solution is prepared by dissolving titanium tetrachloride in ethyl alcohol to obtain titanium ion concentration of not less than 30% with respect to TiO2. Hydrolysis is performed in a temperature-controlled reactor at pH 7-10, temperature of 20-25°C and mechanical mixing with mixer rotary speed of 1000 rpm. The initial solution and ammonium hydroxide solution is added in equimolar concentrations in two jets. The precipitate is calcined at 700-800°C for 1-5 minutes. The titanium dioxide anatase structure stabiliser used is ammonium chloride, which is obtained from a secondary hydrolysis reaction.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain titanium dioxide in an anatase modification with high crystallinity, having high thermal stability, large specific surface area, with particle size of 10-50 nm, reduces the duration of the production process and the cost of recycling washing water.
