FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modified polymer fibres with high specific strength producing technology for bullet-proof fibrous composites. Fibre has fibre surfaces, which are partially coated with fibre residual protective coating, wherein from 50 to 99 % of fiber surface area is open and not coated with fibre protective coating, which is modified by plasma treatment with energy flow value of 100 W/sq. feet/min or less, or corona discharge treatment with energy from 2 to 100 W/sq. feet/min.

EFFECT: invention provides constant or improved resistance properties to bullets and fragments.
