SUBSTANCE: cutter consists of a shank, a holder and a cutting element reinforced with a plate from hard alloy and sharpened in a wedge-like manner in supply direction. The cutter shank is provided with an external cylindrical part with the length that is smaller than the shank, which is coaxially installed on the front part of the shank. The cutter shank is provided with a cylindrical projection for supporting the end of the external cylindrical part of the shank, which is opposite to its cutting end. The cutter shank is connected to the external cylindrical part of the shank by means of a bushing. The reinforced plate of hard alloy is made of three parts, two of which are installed on the cutting end of the external part of the shank, and the third one is installed on the cutting end of the internal part of the shank.

EFFECT: improving reliability of the cutter by reducing pulse dynamic forces on the edge of the plate, which is installed on the cutting end of the external part of the shank.
