FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wet gas cleaning. Wet scrubber (12) for removal of at least one contaminant gas from offgas comprises inlet (60), casing (52) and absorbing fluid feed device (68). Sais case (52) is communicated with inlet (60). Offgas flows through said case in wet scrubber gas flow direction (SD). Device (68) feeds absorbent to case (52) for contact between offgas with said absorbent inside case (52). Gas distributor (62) is arranged inside case (52). Said gas distributor (62) comprises diffuser (102) with cover (114) arranged in the way of offgas flowing into case (52) through inlet (60). Diffuser (102) incorporates extra one channel (124) for transfer of offgas from inlet (60) to scrubber case (52). Scrubber inlet (50) can direct offgas into case (52) via inlet (60) in direction (FD) of inlet gas flow that makes +/-45° from scrubber gas flow direction (SD).
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cleaning, electric power savings.
