FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: spacer grids (SG) of fuel assemblies (FA) of the nuclear reactor consists of a rim, tubular cells with flat sides for welding with cells and with a rim, and curvilinear sides intended for contact with fuel elements, symmetrised with reference to the longitudinal axis of the cell. On the curvilinear sides intended for contact with fuel elements, symmetrically with reference to their axis the flat platforms intended for welding of cells with a rim, oriented parallel to rim sides are located. The offered design of SG has higher producibility since it allows to automate the process of welding of SG in general.
EFFECT: improvement of mechanical and hydraulic characteristics of a spacer grid due to reduction of length of curvilinear sections of a contour of cells.
