FIELD: energy industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural elements of the fuel assemblies (FA) of nuclear reactors of WWER type. The spacer grid (SG) comprises groups of mutually intersecting parallel plates arranged in one tier and forming hexagonal cells for placing fuel units located on a regular triangular grid, and triangular cells located between the hexagonal ones. The hexagonal cells have three sides of the same length and three sides of different lengths located between them, at that the longer sides are intended for contact with the fuel-element cladding. At that the grid spacing is selected to provide the ability of placement in the hexagonal cells of the fuel units of the same diameter, and in the triangular cells - the fuel units of different diameter. According to the second embodiment, the SG comprises groups of mutually intersecting parallel plates located in one tier and forming cells for placement of fuel units, located on regular triangular grid, at that the cells have the shape of regular triangles.
EFFECT: providing higher reliability and uniformity of fuel unit contact with the walls of the cells by providing the contact at three points.
