FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: H01 wave exciter consists of an E-plane T-branch 1, the lateral arms 2 of which are bent in the E-plane on a circle, the centre of which coincides with the axis of a section of a circular waveguide 3. Each of the lateral arms 2 of the E-plane T-branch 1 is connected to the section of the circular waveguide 3 through rectangular waveguides 4, arranged with spacing λv. One end of the section of the section of the circular waveguide 3 is fitted with a loudspeaker 5. A mode filter 6 is mounted in the section of the section of the circular waveguide 3. The dimensions of the narrow walls of the rectangular waveguide 4 are selected based on a condition of equal-amplitude excitation of feed elements of the section of the section of the circular waveguide 3. For said design of the H01 wave exciter: b1 = 1.2b, b2 = b, where b is the size of the narrow wall of the lateral arm 2 of the E-plane T-branch 1.
EFFECT: structural simplification of the exciter with improvement of technical characteristics thereof.
