FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to detecting alcohol in the expired air, and can be used in clinical practice, industry, public health service or for personal use. That is ensured by using a calibrated breath tester comprising an alcohol sensor, a non-volatile memory, a processor unit or a processor, a display and a body enclosing the above components. The processor unit is able to calibrate the breath tester with the use of the user's body as a simulator on the basis of a user's metabolism intensity, used alcohol type and amount. The processor unit specifies the expired air sampling time on the basis of the time to the pre-set calibration point from the time of alcohol consumption start calculated by means of the user's metabolism intensity and the specified alcohol level. The blood alcohol content % (BAC%) values measured on the basis of the expired air sample at the sampling time are used as a test point for the breath tester calibration.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides an ability of the user's breath tester calibration and enables avoiding applying to service facilities.
