FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in coding of a measuring range of an instrument by means of light contrast slots of a signal mask to be installed on the object, shaping of an image of this slot in a plane of a receiving charge-coupled device (CMOS) matrix, transfer of the same image to a computing unit. With that, the instrument circuit includes an internal standard of an angle, which is implemented by variation of topology of a signal mask due to one additional light contrast slot with a central angle between it and a stationary slot; variations Δε(φ) of angle ε are measured at different angles φ of rotor turning in the range of 0<φ<360°, and as per these variations, systematic errors Δφc(φ) of the measurement scale of the encoder are calculated.
