FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to neurology. The technique involves studying a harmonic frequency peak number in an accelerometer spectrum, a relation of a power spectrum of a flexor electromyogram (EMG) within the range of 1-30 Hz in a cognitive load test to the same parameter measured load-free, a tremor frequency in Hz, a relation of an intermuscular EMG-EMG coherence at the tremor frequency, a power spectrum of a flexor EMG within the range of 1-30 Hz, mcV2. The derived data are used to calculate a diagnostic coefficient in points (Z) taking into account binary electrophysiological parameters 0 or 1m which are derived as a relation to a threshold. If Z is 3 or more, Parkinson's disease is diagnosed, whereas Z of less than 3 shows essential tremor.

EFFECT: technique enables providing the more reliable and specific differential diagnosis ensured by analysing the peak values in the accelerometer spectrum.
