FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely neurology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD) and essential tremor (ET). Method includes combined recording of electromyogram (EMG) and tremor parameters by signals of accelerometers (AM) sensors on patient's extremities, calculating local maxima of wavelet-spectrograms of AM signals and wavelet-spectrograms of EMG envelope signals and generation of bursts in signals. Diagnosis is carried out in a sitting position, first in the first posture EMG is recorded, placing electrodes on long extensor extensors of the wrist and anterior tibial muscles. Then EMG is recorded in the second posture, electrodes are placed on long radial extensors of wrist and radial flexors of wrist. Parameters of tremor are recorded in both poses by signals of AM-sensors placed on back sides of palms. Parameters of recorded EMG and AM signals are estimated, namely, central frequency, half-height at half-height and bandwidth at half-height. Values of coefficients F1, F2, F3 and F4 are calculated using given formulas, compared to corresponding factors F1-F4 threshold values and, with simultaneous implementation of the given conditions, essential tremor or early and first stages of Parkinson's disease are diagnosed.

EFFECT: method enables differential diagnosis of two diseases, ET and BP at the early and first stages, with accuracy of not worse than 90 % due to a combination of the methods of the declared invention.
