FIELD: agriculture; poultry farming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to keeping chicken, and can be used in poultry farming for keeping poultry using new energy-saving sources and lighting modes. The method involves keeping chicken in multi-tier cage batteries using LED lamps. The lamps are located in the passages between the cell batteries at a height of 30 cm from the top edge at a distance of 1.5 m from each other on the centres. When keeping chicken, LED lamps with a luminous intensity curve of 110°×60° are used.
EFFECT: improving the uniformity of illumination of multi-tier cage batteries in the vertical plane, as well as preserving the egg production and egg mass yield of chicken while reducing feed costs per unit of production.
