SUBSTANCE: patient's ability to attach a prosthesis without exterior help, a necessity of using walking support accessories, a distance the patient can walk unassisted over the flat surface with the prosthesis attached, a change in the direction of the unassisted walk with the prosthesis attached, the patient's ability to cross single steps, borders and small disfigurements, stair climbing, prosthesis handling characteristics are assessed. An amputation level, stump involvements if any, an intensity of the hip joint contracture, a pace angle, a surface load, a vitality, social functioning, a fear to leave the house, general health are also taken into consideration; each criteria is appraised by points. The total score is derived and used to assess the post-prosthesis rehabilitation outcome in the patient with the amputation femoral stump and to consider it as satisfactory, good or excellent.

EFFECT: method enables assessing the post-prosthesis rehabilitation outcome in the patient with the amputation femoral stump objectively by evaluating the significant criteria.
