SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adjustable bed. The bed frame with a support structure comprises a rigid carcass frame to support the hinged structure for an adjustable bed. The support structure extends substantially to the borders of the hinged structure in the unfolded position and comprises a padded supporting cushion. The supporting cushion comprises a mounting support attached to the carcass frame, and a buffer of a resilient foamed material located on the mounting support, with a fabric cover which surrounds the buffer and is attached to the mounting support. The hinged structure comprises rigid flat supports having the edges with a surrounding layer of resilient foamed material comprising a fabric cover which is attached to the flat support. The buffer and the layer of resilient foamed material are elastically deformed in the contact with a foreign object which enters between them. In an exemplary embodiment, the electrical outlet is mounted in the slot which extends through the supporting frame, the mounting support and the buffer.

EFFECT: improvement of safety of the use of adjustable bed.
