SUBSTANCE: bed lifting mechanism represents a multiple-link lever articulated mechanism including a base, a console, levers 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 (articulated so that to form two quadrangles), the lower and the upper gas struts. The base and the levers 2, 3, 4 form the first quadrangle while the levers 4, 5, 7 and the console form the second quadrangle; the lower gas strut is mounted on the lever 3 and the base while the upper gas strut is mounted on the console and the lever 5. The lever 4 is L-shaped while the levers 3, 4, 5 are represented by channel beams.

EFFECT: improved reliability and ergonomics of the mechanism.
