FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: fire-retardant intumescent composition includes epoxy resin ED-20, ammonium polyphosphate, a plasticiser, carbon material and pentaerythritol. The composition additionally contains a mixture of methyl phosphite borate with glycerine in weight ratio of 1:1 and white soot. The ammonium polyphosphate used is melamine-modified ammonium polyphosphate. The plasticiser is trichloropropylphosphate. The carbon material is intercalated graphite. Components are in the following ratio, pts.wt: epoxy resin ED-20 100; trichloropropylphosphate 10; melamine-modified ammonium polyphosphate 20-30; pentaerythritol 15-20; white soot 2; intercalated graphite 3; methyl phosphite borate 7.5-8.25; glycerine 7.5-8.25.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a high-intumescence fire-retardant composition.
