FIELD: fire retardant intumescent compositions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire retardant intumescent compositions, the coatings of which can be effectively used in the oil and gas industry, the chemical industry for protection from the effects of fire in a fire on metal surfaces. A fire retardant intumescent composition is proposed, including (in parts by weight) epoxy resin, ammonium polyphosphate (25-30), pentaerythritol (15-20), intercalated graphite (3), a hardener - polyamide resin (15), melamine (10-15), chlorinated paraffin (7-10), chemically modified montmorillonite (3-5), hollow microspheres of aluminosilicate glass (4-7).
EFFECT: proposed composition has an increased degree of swelling and improved adhesion to metal and concrete surfaces.
