SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fire-retardant composition for intumescent coatings and can be used in construction, automotive industry and chemical engineering. Fire-retardant composition for intumescent coatings consists of epoxy resin “ЭД-20”, ammonium polyphosphate and wollastonite, curable with polyethylene polyamine (PEPA) curing agent, at the following ratio of components in the composition, g: Epoxy resin “ЭД-20”—15, PEPA—2.25, ammonium polyphosphate—4.5, Wollastonite—0.75 or 1.0.

EFFECT: improved fire-retardant properties of the polymer composition for intumescent coatings and coked cellular material due to the fact that wollastonite is added to the composition, which, being a structure-forming agent, orders the structure of the polymer matrix and coked cellular material, and also promotes uniform distribution of gas bubbles in coked cellular material.
