FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy. A lining 3 consisting of refractory brick masonry and upper working layer 1 is mounted in a metal casing 2; then, the lining is annealed. A mesh electrode 5 is installed on the brick masonry and used as an anode, and a sprayed mass being an electrolyte is applied onto it. Sealing of the sprayed mass is performed by means of an electrode 4 used as a cathode. The electrode is rotated about its axis and along the perimeter of the ladle at speeds ω1 and ω2.
EFFECT: providing a possibility of controlling the formation process of a solid working layer of the lining, which is resistant to thermomechanical actions.
