FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pulmonology, and can be used in laboratory diagnosis of pneumonia. The laboratory diagnostic technique in pneumonia consists in measuring blood serum surfactant protein A and/or surfactant protein D by enzyme immunoassay (EIA); if the measured surfactant protein A level is more than 49.56 ng/ml, or the measured surfactant protein D level is more than 234.39 ng/ml, pneumonia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: technique is non-invasive and enables diagnosing pneumonia in due time.
