FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to occupational pathology and pulmonology. What is presented is a method for determining the clinical course of occupational chronic bronchitis. Patient with chronic occupational bronchitis is sampled in the morning on an empty stomach. Amount of hyaluronic acid (ng/ml) in blood serum is determined by ELISA using a commercial kit of reagents "HYALURONIK ACID (HA) TEST KIT" from "Corgenix, Inc." (USA). Blood serum hyaluronic acid is calculated. Norm is the concentration of hyaluronic acid in serum of 38.6 ng/ml. If this value is exceeded by 2 or more times, unfavorable course of chronic occupational bronchitis is diagnosed with intensified processes of obstruction and high risk of developing dystrophic and fibrous-sclerotic processes of small bronchi, bronchiolar and alveolar trees.

EFFECT: invention provides an opportunity to isolate patients with unfavorable clinical course of chronic bronchitis caused by intensified phenomena of obstruction among persons with chronic occupational bronchitis not having functional signs of bronchial obstruction.
