FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: total native DNA is recovered from skin and hair samples; that is followed by carrying out a polymerase chain reaction and amplifying a fragment of 5.8S ribosomal riziform Microsporum canis gene with using specific primers. If the electrophoresis shows an amplification product 182 base pairs in size, the agent is stated to be detected.
EFFECT: invention provides the specific detection of Microsporum canis in the clinical material and can be used for diagnosing microsporia.
