FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to molecular genetics and microbiology and is intended for diagnosis of onychomycosis. DNA is recovered from biological material of nails, then PCR and detection of the obtained results is conducted with the help of electrophoresis in agarose gel. Following range of fungi is analised: Trichophyton spp., Candida spp., Aspergillus spp., Fusarium spp., Scopulariopsis brevicaulis and micromycetes of any generic attribution; at that, use is made of multiplex solution for PCR with employment of primers in two reactions; while for determination of fungi belonging to Aspergillus Fusarium species, use is made of general return primer. During reaction I, when detecting strips corresponding to base pair 168, it is possible to diagnose onychomycosis caused by micromycete Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, base pair 120 - Candida spp., base pair 600-650 - onychomycosis is caused by any micromycete. During reaction II when detecting a strip corresponding to base pair 302, there is diagnosed onychomycosis caused by micromycete Trichophyton spp., base pairs 221 - Fusarium spp., base pair 193 - Aspergillus spp.
EFFECT: invention provides for an effective method of simultaneous identification of all etiological agents, clinically significant for onychomycosis in Russia.
